PEOPLE ARE NOT ALWAYS WHAT THEY SEEM ON THE SURFACE
Paper bats. Bananas. Phobias. Pinwheels. Sketches. Spooning. Divorce. Schizophrenia….
Jake is completely undone and amazing. I love how the focus is on Jake, but we learn all about Nina at first. You get to know her inside and out; her emotions; her fears; her adventures. Then Jake’s POV really comes into play and his world is turned upside down. He wears his heart on his sleeve; hiding behind the women, tattoos and piercings…He truly gives his all when he cares about someone. But the poison Ivy in his life continues to haunt everything he tries to do with his future. His job, his relationship, his life with Nina in NY. After reading Gemini, I was concerned reading the next book in the series. While these two books shared similar characters, the plot is so not the same. I am so addicted to Penelope’s writing; its real, its raw, and it makes you never want to put the book down. 5 Stars!!!
